Mooresville, NC (May 30, 2013) – Dave Blaney and the No. 7 Tommy Baldwin Racing team head to Dover International Speedway for 400 miles of “Monster Mile” action.
This weekend Blaney, driver of the SANY America Chevy SS, is participating in several different events at the track. Honoring those who are affected by Autism, Dave will be racing with a puzzle piece logo on the side of his car. He will also be saluting our troops, by hosting an honorary guest from nearby Dover Air Force Base.
Blaney’s history at Dover: After 23 starts at Dover, Blaney has an average finish of 28.7.
Blaney on Dover: “Dover is a challenging track, it is definitely nicknamed the Monster Mile for a reason. The key to surviving the race is to be prepared and be alert and my guys proved last week that we are prepared for anything.”
Crew Chief/Team Owner Tommy Baldwin on Dover: “Last weekend we proved what this team is made of, getting in an accident and fighting to get back on track to gain positions, that is what the 7 team is about. We look forward to heading to Dover and continuing the battle.”
Blaney by the numbers: Heading into the “Monster Mile,” Blaney is currently sitting 31st in the NASCAR Sprint Cup points Standings.
Did you know?: Dave recently visited the Sprint Unlimited Experience for an autograph signing and was asked by a fan, “What’s the craziest thing a fan ever did?” His reply was, “I once turned on the TV and saw a man being arrested for robbery, wearing a Dave Blaney T-shirt.”
