News and Notes: Homestead
35 Down, 1 to Go: With just one race to go in the 2015 season, Alex Bowman and the No. 7 Nikko RC/ Toy State team head to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Ford EcoBoost 400.
Meet Alex: On Saturday, Bowman will be visiting the Fanatics Trackside Superstore (11:15 a.m.) with sponsors Nikko RC and Toy State to demonstrate the use of their Nikko VaporizR 2 car.
Making a Difference: At the conclusion of practice on Saturday, Bowman will head to Homestead Hospital to visit the Speediatrics unit. Also known as the Betty Jane France Children’s Emergency Center, the unit is designed to ease the hospital experience for ill or injured children with its motorsports-themed décor.
Bowman Says: “I am pretty excited to be heading to Homestead-Miami Speedway this week. This is such a unique track – with four grooves to race in, we have many options. The fastest lane is always going up against the wall, which is risky, but builds momentum.”
