News and Notes: Texas
Three to Go: Texas Motor Speedway marks the second-to-last 1.5-mile track remaining on the 2015 schedule. Alex Bowman and the No. 7 Nikko RC/ Toy State team head into the “Lone Star State” following a 22nd place finish at Martinsville.
Making a Difference: As Bowman prepares for the AAA Texas 500 on Sunday, he and partner Nikko RC and Toy State will head to the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth to spend time with children and their families as they undergo treatment at nearby Cook’s Hospital. Nikko RC and Toy State will be making a toy donation while receiving signatures on their helmets that will be auctioned at the conclusion of the season. Bowman will be wearing the helmet for the final three races this season.
Bowman Says: “We are coming off a great run at Martinsville Speedway, so I feel like we have some great momentum heading to Texas. Texas is a track I’ve had success on before (two XFINITY poles) and I feel confident in the work our team has been doing.”
