Pre-race notes and quotes: Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Huntersville, NC (July 24, 2014) – Heading to one of the most prestigious events in auto racing, Tommy Baldwin Racing will field a three car team at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Bobby Labonte joins Michael Annett and Reed Sorenson for the Crown Royal Presents the John Wayne Walding 400 at the Brickyard.

Coming off of the last break for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Tommy Baldwin Racing looks to make noise at the track in one of the most prominent races of the season. By adding veteran driver Bobby Labonte to the team in the No. 37 Accell Construction Chevrolet, it continues the streak of having only two drivers in the field to run in every Brickyard 400.

“I am thankful for the opportunity given to me by Tommy, getting to run my 21st race at the Brickyard means a lot to me,” said Labonte. “Jeff Gordon and I are the only active drivers to run all the races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and I am glad to continue that quest with TBR.”

In addition, Reed Sorenson will be sporting new colors on the No. 36 Chevrolet, with sponsorship from Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix. Zing Zang will be the primary on the car in four races in the remainder of the season, including Martinsville, Talladega, and Charlotte.

Reed Sorenson commented, “I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of my No. 36 Chevrolet, and having Zing Zang on board. I’ve had some luck at Indy in the past, and even sat on the pole a couple years back. I know that my guys have given me a good car for this weekend, and I would love to get our Zing Zang Chevrolet a good finish in the Brickyard.”

Appearances at the Track: Reed Sorenson will be at the Sprint Experience on Saturday at 1 p.m. and on Sunday he will visit the Chevy display at 10:10 a.m.
