Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) heads up to Martinsville Speedway for some short track racing after a weekend off for Easter. Dave Blaney will have SANY America on board his No. 7 Chevy SS again for a fifth time this season. JJ Yeley and the No. 36 Chevy SS recently signed on again with United Mining Equipment (UME), after recent success in Bristol, TN.
Both Yeley and Blaney have numerous starts at the 1/2 mile track, in Martinsville, Virginia. Perserving brakes are key, and avoiding the “Bump and Run” that often occurs is crucial for both drivers. Completing the 500 lap race on Sunday afternoon, with solid finishes, is something both drivers are hoping for this weekend
Blaney’s history at Martinsville: Blaney has an impressive 34 starts at Martinsville Speedway. His best finish came in 2005, when he took the checkers in 16th position. Dave has an average finish on 31.4.
Blaney on Martinsville: “Coming off the weekend with no racing was great for the entire TBR team. We were able to focus on the racecar and get ready for some short track racing. It’s all about brakes at Martinsville and hanging in there until the end. Hopefully this No. 7 SANY America Chevy will have a great finish and avoid accidents that the track is notorious for.”
Blaney by the numbers: After a top 25 finish at Fontana, Blaney moved up two positions in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Standings to 28th. He is currently 110 points behind leader Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Yeley by the numbers: Although Yeley did not finish at Fontana as well as he would have liked, he moved up one position in the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings. Yeley is currently 26th, 107 points behind leader Dale Earnhardt Jr.
