John Blankenship will make his NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) debut with Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) this weekend. The West Virginia native will pilot the No. 44 COAL/Save Our Country Chevrolet in Saturday’s U.S. Cellular 250 presented by the Enlist Weed Control System.
TBR AT IOWA – This weekend will mark TBR’s first start at Iowa Speedway. To prepare for the team and driver debut, TBR had a two-day test at Nashville Speedway, where Blankenship not only got comfortable in the stock car, he also practice live pit stops.
BLANKENSHIP’S IOWA DEBUT – Blankenship will make his NNS debut this weekend at Iowa Speedway. The dirt racer has made five ARCA starts and scored a sixth-place finish at Michigan International Speedway this season. He also made one NASCAR K&N Pro Series East start at Columbus Motor Speedway.
CHASSIS NO. 502 – The TBR NNS team will bring chassis No. 502 to Iowa Speedway. The chassis was purchased from Richard Childress Racing during the offseason.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Crew Chief Tommy Baldwin formed Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) in 2009. Baldwin utilized a declining economy to open a NSCS team with a stringent budget. The team worked to build to full-time competition, and by the 2011 season, the team’s third season, TBR competed in every race and locked the No. 36 Chevrolet in the top-35 in NSCS Owner Points.
