Tommy Baldwin Racing Welcomes SANY America Aboard at Phoenix
Mooresville, NC (February 28, 2013) – Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) welcomes SANY America aboard the No. 7 car with driver Dave Blaney this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). In their first of a 14 race primary sponsorship, SANY America looks to align themselves with the nation’s fastest growing sport while presenting a unique opportunity to introduce millions of racing enthusiasts to the SANY brand.
Started in 1989 by college roommates, SANY is now the sixth largest industrial equipment company in the world. With global sales of their cranes, concrete pump machinery, excavators, and other heavy-duty equipment, they reported revenues of over $12 billion US in 2012.
SANY America opened its doors in Peachtree City, Georgia in 2007 as a division of SANY. All of the units they sell in the United States are designed specifically for the US market, using well known globally produced components, and are backed by an above-industry-standard two-year/4,000 hour warranty. Since opening in the U.S. two years ago, SANY America has sold over 150 cranes to customers across the country through selected dealers.
Team owner, Tommy Baldwin, Jr. is excited to welcome SANY America into NASCAR aboard his cars. “As an organization, we’re proud to have brought a new company into NASCAR. TBR and SANY America are achieving a milestone together as we work towards a common goal of winning races this season. We look forward to being able to show them the benefits that a NASCAR sponsorship can offer.”
“We’re excited to start this venture with Tommy Baldwin Racing and NASCAR,” said Kyle Nape, vice president of global sales and marketing at SANY America. “Many of our customers are NASCAR fans, so this partnership is a great way for us get our name out there. We’re looking forward to a great season with a great team.”
“SANY America chose to partner with NASCAR and TBR as it continues to strengthen our commitment to North America and our growing customer base,” said Kirk Erlinger, director of sales and dealer development for SANY America. “We continue to expand our footprint in North America and want to be able generate more excitement with our company. Being a part of NASCAR and TBR does exactly that.”
The No. 7 SANY-branded car features a large decal of the SANY brand logo on the hood of the car, and the word SANY emblazoned in red on the rear sides, trunk and roof. The company name “SANY” comes from the English pronunciation of the Chinese characters that mean “three ones.” The three ones refer to the three primary goals in the corporate vision: “To build a first-class enterprise, to foster first-class employees, and to make first-class contributions to society.” The SANY brand mark incorporates these three core principles with three interlocking numeral “1” symbols. The three numerals point outside the circle to infinite space that represents great possibilities. SANY’s motto is “Quality Changes the World.” The SANY brand will also appear on the No. 7 car’s tractor trailer, driver’s suit and pit crew uniforms.
